Privacy policy
Last updated
We collect only what we need to deliver your token, support you and improve the site, and we never sell your data. We handle what we collect in line with Nigeria's Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA). This page explains exactly what is collected, why, and how to stop it.
What we never see
- Our on-page checker never asks for your result token. You enter that only on NECO's own portal. The registration number you type stays in your browser; we don't send or store it.
- We don't see or store your card or bank details. Paystack handles the payment on its own page, under Paystack's privacy policy.
When you buy a token
- Order data: your email (and phone, if you give one), the quantity and amount, the payment status and reference Paystack returns, and the token(s) we deliver, so we can deliver your order, let you reopen it and handle support or refunds.
- How you found us: the first page you landed on, the site that sent you and any campaign tags in the link (for example
utm_source). This is kept in your browser for the visit and saved with your order. - A hashed IP address (a one-way code, not the address itself) to limit abuse of checkout.
- Emails: we send your token by email. If you start a checkout and don't finish paying, we may send one reminder email with a link back to the buy page.
- Your browser remembers your latest order reference on this device (local storage, not a cookie) so you can get back to your order. Clear your site data to remove it.
Chat assistant and feedback
- Chat: what you type in the chat box, and the replies, are stored with a hashed IP. Before a message is stored or sent anywhere we strip anything that looks like a result token or a registration number. Your conversation is also kept in your browser until you close the tab.
- Feedback: any message you submit, your optional email, the page and a hashed IP for anti-spam. A copy with order references, emails, phone numbers, tokens and registration numbers masked goes to our central feedback inbox. We do not use feedback for marketing.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages people read and where they come from, so we know what to keep up to date. It records pages viewed, how you reached the site (for example a search engine or a link), rough location (country and city, worked out from your IP address), device and browser type, and how long you stayed. Google Analytics 4 does not store your IP address. We remove order references from page addresses before they reach Google.
To tell one visit from the next, it sets first-party cookies on this domain: _ga (a
random visitor ID) and _ga_* (session state). Both last up to 2 years unless you
clear them. Google signals is switched off and our analytics is not linked to any Google Ads
account, so this data is not used for advertising or ad personalisation. We do not send Google
your name, email, phone number or anything you type into checkout, chat or feedback.
Google processes this data for us as a data processor, on servers that may be outside Nigeria. Google keeps event-level analytics data for 2 months, and data tied to a visitor ID for 14 months after that visitor's last visit; after that only aggregated reports remain. Visitors from the EU, EEA and UK are not given analytics cookies: for them the tag sends Google only cookieless, identifier-free signals.
To opt out, block cookies for this site in your browser or install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. See also how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
Who else handles your data
- Cloudflare hosts the site and our database and keeps short-lived security and performance logs.
- Paystack processes your payment.
- NaijaResultPins, our token supplier, receives only the card type and quantity, no personal data.
- ZeptoMail (Zoho) sends our emails.
- Anthropic generates the chat assistant's replies from the (redacted) conversation.
- Telegram carries order alerts to our own team (order reference and buyer email, plus the message when a chat needs a person) so we can help quickly when something goes wrong.
Some of these providers process data outside Nigeria. We don't sell or rent your data to anyone.
How long we keep it
We keep order and payment records for as long as we need them for support, refunds and our accounts. Chat and feedback messages are kept until you ask us to delete them.
Your rights
Under the NDPA you can ask what data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to its use. Email support@necoresultchecker.com. We will delete everything we are not required to keep for payment records. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
