How to check your NECO GCE (External) result
Last updated: 2026-11-05
NECO GCE (External) candidates check results on the same portal as everyone else — at results.neco.gov.ng — by selecting the SSCE External exam type and entering a 12-digit token and registration number. The token and registration-number format are identical to the internal SSCE.
When is the 2026 NECO GCE result out?
NECO has not announced a release date for the 2026 SSCE External (GCE) result. Here is what NECO and last cycle tell us, as of 5 November 2026:
| 2025 External (last cycle) | 2026 External (this cycle) | |
|---|---|---|
| Exam held | 26 Nov – 13 Dec 2025 | 4 – 21 Nov 2026 |
| Results released | 3 Feb 2026 (52 days after the last paper) | Not announced yet |
If NECO keeps last cycle's 52-day gap, the result would land around mid-January 2027. That is our estimate from last year's pattern, not a NECO date — we will update this page the day NECO announces. Sources: the 2026 exam dates are from the SSCE External page on neco.gov.ng (read 5 Nov 2026); the 2025 release date and the 52-day figure are from the NECO Registrar's briefing in Minna, reported by Vanguard (NAN), 3 February 2026.
