NECO e-Verify (NERVS): what it is and how it differs
Last updated: 2026-06-04
NECO e-Verify (NERVS) is an official system that lets universities, employers and other institutions confirm that a candidate’s NECO result is genuine. It is a verification tool — not the way a candidate checks results for the first time. For that, you still use a result token on the results portal.
Checking vs verifying
| Result checking | e-Verify (NERVS) | |
|---|---|---|
| Purpose | View your grades | Confirm a result is authentic |
| Who | Candidates | Institutions / employers |
| Tool | Result token + portal | NERVS at everify.neco.gov.ng |
For candidates
You normally don’t use NERVS yourself — your prospective school or employer does, to confirm the result you submitted. To get your result in the first place, buy a token and check your result.

Who uses NERVS? +
Universities, other tertiary institutions, employers and organisations verifying applicants’ results.
